| Today's poem is in line with other summer experiences we've been reading about, but these are taking place in Australia--which puts the timeline somewhere between December and February. I was intrigued by the images of cockatoos flying overhead--as commonplace as crows in that part of the world (and a galah is just another type of cockatoo). It's also intriguing to think about Christmas being part of this dusty, sweaty panorama--a good reminder that we all see the world from different perspectives! |
