DarkPoetry Poem of the Day: Bettter Off

This life that I am living...
all of it is a lie.
I never get what I deserve,
and I don't understand why?

The empty feeling inside my chest,
it's getting worse every day.
I smile and go on with my life.
But inside I'm not okay.

I keep my tears all locked away.
My feelings I wish to hide.
Everytime that I get hurt,
I shove my pain down deep inside.

Thoughts of razorblades and death...
they're always in my head.
Maybe I should let my pain bleed out.
Maybe I would just be better off dead.
