A quick tangent--

I love all the wonderful names of people who sign up for the poem email, the cultures, the places, the history represented by each name.

Of course, these names present challenges, too. I'm not always clear which name is the first name and which name is the last or sir name. Or if one of the names is actually a title or form of address. And I have to be careful when weeding out the spam signups -- sometimes randomly generated text can pass for an especially exotic name. All part of my continuing cultural education.

How on earth did they discover out this guy had influenza form A?
I went to operate yesterday and for the very 1st time in my 13 yrs, I had to gown, glove and place on a mask to see a patient who was diagnosed with influenza form a. How do they differentiate in between the strains? Is this the worst?
also. when we all got our flu shots final fall, was this to prevent spread of influenza kind a?

they test for the flu by swabbing the patients throat/nose and microbiology lab tests it for the flu strains.. i’m not positive which is the worst.. even so, if they are good for either they are place on droplet precautions x5 days.

Influenza Kind A is the most widespread and also the scariest of the 3 influenzas, causing the most critical epidemics in background.
Influenza Sort B flu outbreaks also can cause epidemics, but the illness it creates normally is milder than that brought on by sort A.
Influenza Kind C flu viruses, on the other hand, have never ever been connected with a huge epidemic, typically just causing mild respiratory infections similar to the widespread cold.
