DarkPoetry Poem of the Day: ~Graceland~

I love a man who isn’t there
Burdened by a footless road
3000 miles to reach our hands
Our Graceland

Hollow is the desert home
Waiting for our arrival
Seeds waiting to be sewn
Vacant space needing life

Far we travel to make our peace
Life flows behind
Crumbling pieces of ground
Beneath the weight of our cravings

My broken mirror
Is our remarkable beginning
Forgiveness brings our souls together
Love has kept us standing here

An infinite need consumes us
Moving furniture within this space
We have rearranged the colors of our ribbons

To make a permanent place

Our Graceland
