"BE Here"

Excerpt:

The word "here" by definition, includes these meanings:

1)  in or at this place;
2)  at this time; now

As you can see, the word, whose definition most often is referring to one's current location, also includes the concept of now...this moment...this time.

Though we may be separated by great distances, hence, you are there while I am here, physically and relating to our relative positions on earth, if you consider the latter definition, then we are both "here" simultaneously...

[Poem of the week] I KNOW the butcher bird (poetry clip)

I KNOW the butcher bird. He sings and they come flocking to his white claws. Later, he crucifies them on the hawthorns. He cracks and sings because of love and feeds on what he crucifies. He dreams of bloody petals. Who knows if it’s the bird who weeps.

In other times,

I saw the horse’s soul, its teeth against the dew. There is a horse inside my eyes and it’s the father of the ones who later learned to weep. Now

someone treads upon my dreams. I think of how the snakes passed sleekly over my heart

to listen to the blood. Where? In the blue fistula or in the blind arteries? There, iron whistles, or perhaps it burns; we’re nothing more than miserable hemoglobin. There, the bones weep, their music intervening in the bodies. Finally, purified by cold, we’re real in disappearance.

Shit and love under earthly light. I abandon my veins to the fecundity of the black seeds and my heart to the insects.

My heart, this humid cavern that, with neither end nor cause, impersonates the systole’s monotony.

DarkPoetry Poem of the Day: short of breath

I would break beats around curves
slant rhyme soul, stitching
seas of silky stanza
lacing up a stunning whole
I would apply acrostic
Lust
On
Velvet
Eloquence

and stun with wit,
or punctuate like lining
dotted eyes and crossing tea stained
memories
building up in words what is
most amazing
grazing hardly the crust
that shells this molten core

and let you know in fact it's you
who sparks this
art

but,

it is said that
the words of a poet
mirror their life
and in life you are breathtaking

so I would stitch said
silk stanzas
though cant, for I'm left speechless.
