[News] PIW June 2011: 42nd Poetry International Festival Rotterdam

PIW June 2011

Our June issue of PIW features the festival selections and translations of the twenty poets coming to the Poetry International Festival in Rotterdam in a few weeks' time, from 14 until 19 June. This year's theme is Chaos and Order, which will be explored in a number of special programmes focusing on poetry and literature, society and current events.
On PIW, there are diverse poetic riches to discover, from the short narrative prose poems of Doina Ioanid (Romania) to Canadian poet Erín Moure's 'translations' (written by a fictional character, Elisa Sampedrín); from Belgian Eugène Savitzkaya's Nouba, a sonorous French-language poem written in three concurrent columns, to the linguistically exuberant poems of Jacob Groot (The Netherlands) – and much much more.
