Alone and misdirected we search for a life thats whole
We grew p in a fairy tale that did'nt have a plot
and
Even when we taste success deep down we know its not
The children who once danced with us
In the garden of broken dreams
Have grown into angry soldiers
and
Have lost their self esteem
The streets where we used to play
Have turned into a slum
and
A life once filled with promise
We fill with drugs to keep us numb
Our innocence was lost
When with the devil we made a deal
My life becomes sureal when you ask me how I feel
A generation disenchanted and old before our time
I think about my goals
and
I know that they're not mine
Our parents lost control when our childhoods they stole
Their world is but a stage
where we silently seeth with rage
So to spite them we rebel
In a downward spiral we propel
Alone and afraid our hearts we barricade
As we go along with their charade
So you be the proud patriarch
and
On your mouthful of lies we won't remark
We'll just get high
and
We'll try
To find our way
in the
dark
